Job summary

Liverpool FC is seeking an experienced Employee Relations specialist to manage a varied ER caseload and provide practical guidance to managers on disciplinary, grievance, attendance and performance issues.

You will work with People Partners, Legal and other specialists, maintain accurate case records, support policy governance, wellbeing, and inclusion initiatives, and help drive improvements across processes and manager support.

Qualifications

• ER and policy management experience with customer service focus.
• Proven ability to influence, motivate and support line management.
• Comprehensive knowledge of HR policies and employment law.
• Experience of working in a unionised environment and/or TU recognition process.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied Employee Relations caseload promptly and fairly.
• Provide practical advice to managers on disciplinary, grievance, capability, attendance and performance matters.
• Handle complex or sensitive cases with People Partners, Legal and other specialists.
• Maintain accurate case records and data including correspondence and meeting notes.
• Support policy development and governance updates with People Partners and policy owners.
• Coordinate Occupational Health case activity and wellbeing matters.
• Ensure ER guidance is fair, inclusive and aligned with inclusion commitments.
• Identify policy queries or gaps arising from casework and escalate to policy owners.
