Job summary

HeadFirst/Impellam Group in Luton is seeking an experienced HR Advisor (Employee Relations) on a 9-month fixed-term contract. The role is hybrid—3 days in the office, 2 days work from home—and requires managing complex ER casework across a diverse workforce.

As part of the People Team, you will advise managers on disciplinary, grievance and change initiatives, lead TUPE consultations, and guide ACAS conciliation processes, delivering legally compliant, pragmatic guidance.

Qualifications

• Experience managing complex Employee Relations casework independently.
• Strong redundancy experience and change management.
• Practical TUPE transfer experience from planning to implementation.
• Excellent knowledge of UK employment law.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities while delivering advisory service.
• CIPD qualification or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Managing a broad range of Employee Relations cases from start to finish.
• Advising on disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence management and flexible working matters.
• Supporting organisational change initiatives, including restructures and redundancy programmes.
• Providing expert guidance on TUPE transfers and consultation processes.
• End to end management of ACAS early conciliation cases, including COT3 agreements.
• Building effective relationships with managers and stakeholders to drive positive employee relations outcomes.
• Delivering practical, legally compliant advice in line with employment legislation and company policies.
• Supporting manager capability through coaching and training.
