Job summary

EY in Birmingham is seeking an ER Advisor to join the HR team, delivering high-quality employee relations guidance to managers on absence, disciplinary, grievance, performance, and safeguarding matters.

You will manage a diverse caseload, apply employment law and EY policy, ensure case updates are recorded accurately in HR systems, and collaborate with the wider ER team to support a compliant, efficient people function.

Qualifications

• At least two years’ professional HR experience in a large corporate organisation.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR processes.
• Experience in employee relations case management.
• Ability to coach and advise managers to ensure consistent handling of cases.
• Knowledge of operational HR systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality Employee Relations advice to managers on absence, disciplinary, grievance, performance, and safeguarding.
• Manage caseload in line with EY policies and SLAs.
• Escalate complex queries to the HR Manager with recommended actions.
• Maintain data protection compliance at all times.
• Record case updates in HR systems and track to resolution.
• Build relationships with the business and the wider ER team.
• Stay updated with process changes and contribute to HR projects.
• Support flexible working arrangements as needed.
