Job summary

Ernst & Young in Birmingham is seeking an ER Advisor to provide high-quality Employee Relations advice to managers on absence, disciplinary, grievance, performance and safeguarding matters, ensuring cases are handled in line with employment law and EY policy.

You will manage a busy caseload, escalate complex issues, build strong client relationships, maintain data protection, and contribute to HR projects within Talent Shared Services.

Qualifications

• A degree-level qualification or equivalent experience.
• CIPD qualification (preferred).
• Experience in employee relations or HR advisory is expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality Employee Relations advice to managers on absence, disciplinary, grievance, performance management and safeguarding.
• Manage a large caseload in line with SLAs and EY policy, escalating as needed.
• Escalate complex queries to the HR Manager while maintaining excellent service.
• Record case updates in HR systems and track cases to closure.
• Build trusted relationships with the business and collaborate with EY Talent Shared Services.
• Stay up-to-date with employment law changes and contribute to wider HR projects.
