Job summary

Nova Training is seeking an Employability Tutor to help students develop employability skills and achieve relevant qualifications. You will support learners, guide progress, and ensure they meet required standards within our provision.

You will create engaging learning environments, embed Functional Skills, assess progress and motivate students across the learner journey as part of our safeguarding and quality assurance framework.

Qualifications

• Deliver functional skills and literacy to level 2.
• Hold PTLLS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Assess learners to awarding body and Ofsted criteria.
• Experience teaching 14-19 provision.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Create conducive training centre environments to build learner skills and confidence.
• Empathise, engage and motivate learners across programmes.
• Embed Functional Skills in all lessons.
• Regularly assess learner work to awarding body and Ofsted criteria.

Are you an Employability Tutor looking for a new role?

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team at Nova Training as an Employability Tutor.

As an Employability Tutor you will be required to work with students to develop their employability skills and help them gain the necessary qualifications to succeed in the job market. As an Employability tutor, you will be expected to provide support and guidance to students, while ensuring they meet the required standards.

What you will be doing:

• Create conditions in the training centre which will help to develop the abilities, skill and confidence of each learner.
• Empathise, engage and motivate learners across programmes.
• Ensure that Functional Skills are embedded in all lessons.
• Regularly assess the learners work to awarding body and Ofsted criteria.
• Actively support, mentor and motivate learners across the learner journey to help them with the timely completion of their learning aims and qualification.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Experience of delivering Functional Skills or Maths and English to Level 2.
• A relevant teaching qualification minimum PTLLS.
• An assessing qualification, Full TAQA or V1.
• Teaching experience within 14-19 provision.
• Understanding of Ofsted and the Education Inspection Framework.
• Full, clean UK Driving License.
