Job summary

South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust in Bristol is seeking Dispatchers for the Emergency Operations Centre. You will be integral to the 999 control room, deploying and managing Trust vehicles for emergency and non-emergency calls across the Trust area.

Starting salary £27,485 with NHS Agenda for Change. 37.5 hours per week, with enhancements for unsocial hours, plus 27 days annual leave and the NHS Pension. Excellent progression opportunities and free parking are offered.

Qualifications

• 4 GCSEs at C grade or above, including English (or equivalent).
• Good keyboard skills.
• Good oral communication skills.
• Be prepared to work shifts on a 24/7 rota.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage Trust vehicles to emergency and non-emergency calls across the Trust area.
• Be an integral member of the 999 control room team in the Emergency Operations Centre.
• Work to provide cover on weekends, nights and bank holidays as required.
