Job summary

University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking an admin role focused on the high-tech switchboard and accurate data entry for patient referrals. You will manage calls, log information, and ensure data is stored across multiple hospital systems with strict confidentiality.

Responsibilities include supporting the team leader with reports and maintaining clear, professional communication within the multidisciplinary team and across shifts. NHS background and IT proficiency are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Five A–C GCSEs including English and Maths.
• NVQ 3 or equivalent certification is required or desirable.

Responsibilities

• Use the high-tech switchboard to manage emergency referrals efficiently.
• Log calls and record patient information digitally across systems.
• Enter referral data into multiple hospital systems (CoMET, CenTre, ECMO databases).
• Maintain confidentiality and prepare/ distribute referral information.
• Support the team leader with activity, audit and outreach reports.
