Job summary

GitLab in the London area is seeking a Senior Professional Services Project Manager to oversee complex IT/software consulting projects from initiation to closure. You will coordinate with cross-functional teams and our global customers to deliver on time and within budget, while managing executive stakeholders and escalations.

You will drive delivery processes, schedules and risk management, and collaborate with Support, Engineering and Product teams to resolve issues using GitLab technologies.

Qualifications

• Experience managing complex IT or software consulting projects for external customers from initiation through closure.
• Ability to manage scope, schedules, resources, customer expectations, risks, issues, and multiple priorities while delivering executive status reports.
• Build effective relationships with customer leaders and manage escalations.
• Identify and resolve project challenges, motivate teams, and mediate conflicts.
• Experience supporting timely revenue recognition and executing change orders when needed.
• Knowledge of PMI methodologies, Agile/Scrum, SDLC, and project tools including GitLab.

Responsibilities

• Manage large-scale commercial projects and executive stakeholder meetings.
• Collaborate with Support, Engineering, and Product to resolve complex problems using GitLab technologies.
• Improve project management tools, processes, and templates.
• Summarize key projects monthly and support quarterly business reviews.
• Develop delivery schedules, manage scope/resources/status/risk/issues for technical and consulting services.
• Coordinate with customers and GitLab stakeholders, including executive teams, Sales, and TAMs for escalations.
• Establish repeatable delivery processes and metrics.
