Job summary

Cover Genius is seeking a Senior Claims Manager, EMEA to establish the operational foundation for hyper-growth in a regulated environment. You will lead leaders across the UK, EU, and broader EMEA, embedding into daily claims operations, ensuring SLA compliance, and driving data-driven performance improvements.

You will oversee audits, automation initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration with Product, Service Design and Technology to scale AI-driven adjudication and human-in-the-loop

Qualifications

• 8+ years of claims leadership in a high-growth Insurtech/Insurance environment.
• Line of Business experience across Travel, A&H, Marine, or Motor; multi-LOB is a plus.
• Operational domain: project management, QA, risk ID, onboarding, training.
• Cross-border regulatory familiarity (FCA, IDD/EIOPA), multi-currency settlements, multi-language requirements.
• Experience driving workflow automation and straight-through processing (STP).
• Experience with managing BPO/TPA partners to SLAs and QA metrics.
• Proven track record of achieving KPIs related to unit economics, NPS, and loss ratios.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing claims organization across UK, EU and broader EMEA in a hybrid setting.
• Drive continuous improvement to improve customer outcomes and financial metrics.
• Lead audits, maintain authority-based decisions, and build technical expertise across staff levels.
• Architect AI-enabled, human-in-the-loop claims processes and end-to-end automation.
• Monitor portfolio performance, loss ratios, indemnity accuracy, and fraud detection.
• Oversee underwriter referral workflows and ensure adherence to delegated authority.
• Lead launch readiness for new EMEA partner implementations and ensure playbooks and training are in place.
• Drive regional operational evolution with QA, training, and insurance teams to shorten cycle times.
• Maintain governance across FCA, IDD/EIOPA, and local cross-border laws.
