Job summary

Origami Risk is seeking a Director of Business Development, UK & Europe, the Middle East, & Africa to lead the region's commercial efforts. You will drive new business, expand existing relationships, and build Origami's brand in London and across the EMEA insurance and risk tech market.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You will manage a mixed team of new logo sales executives and account managers, engage C-suite stakeholders, and shape regional go-to-market strategies in partnership with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree about business; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years commercial experience in enterprise software sales.
• 5+ years selling into UK/EMEA insurance market.
• 3+ years leading a commercial team.
• Proven ability to close long-cycle enterprise deals.
• Established network in London insurance market (Lloyd's, MGAs, brokers).
• Familiar with consultative sales methodologies (Sandler, MEDDIC, Challenger).
• Strong coaching and executive communication skills.
• Strong data analytics using Salesforce.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and hybrid London office presence.

Responsibilities

• Lead UK & EMEA commercial team and develop pipeline.
• Drive new business growth and protect existing client relationships.
• Engage with C-suite and senior decision-makers across industries.
• Develop regional go-to-market strategy with Marketing and Ops.
• Collaborate with Product, Professional Services, and Sales Operations.
• Provide regular reporting on regional performance to VP of Sales.
