Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a strategic Design Manager to join our EMEA Design and Construction team. You’ll lead the end-to-end design delivery for critical data centre construction projects across London, Amsterdam, Madrid and Frankfurt, coordinating with multidisciplinary experts and external consultants.

You will manage external design consultants, drive cross-functional collaboration with internal construction, finance, sales and operations, and ensure compliance with quality and safety

Qualifications

• Experience delivering design for mission-critical facilities (Data Centres, pharma, energy).
• Strong knowledge of M&E systems and building codes.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary design teams and manage vendors/stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead third-party design consultants to deliver data centre facilities aligned with global specs.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with internal construction, finance, sales and operations.
• Provide engineering oversight: manage budget, schedule and product delivery for quality and safety compliance.
• Identify engineering risks and opportunities early in the design phase to protect timelines.
