THE-TEAM is seeking an experienced Director, Cybersecurity (EMEA) to provide hands-on cybersecurity leadership, people management, and operational security support across the region. Reporting to the Sr.

Director of Cybersecurity, this role will serve as an extension of global cybersecurity leadership, mentoring UK/EMEA team members and coordinating with our SOC/MDR provider. The position strengthens THE-TEAM's follow-the-sun security model and ensures regional execution remains aligned with

Qualifications

• Senior leadership in cybersecurity with hands-on responsibility.
• Experience mentoring cybersecurity professionals.
• Hands-on security operations, incident response and risk management.
• Experience working with SOC/MDR/MSSP providers.
• Knowledge of SIEM, EDR/XDR, identity security, vulnerability management, email security and cloud security.
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 27001, NIST CSF, CIS Controls.
• Experience in multinational or distributed organizations.
• Certifications are desirable but not a substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day cybersecurity for the EMEA region and act as an extension of global leadership.
• Mentor UK/EMEA team members and drive professional development.
• Oversee incident response, threat detection, containment and post-incident reviews.
• Coordinate with SOC/MDR provider and internal stakeholders across Technology and Business.
• Drive vulnerability management and security initiative execution across regions.
• Partner with Legal/Privacy, People and leadership on cybersecurity governance and audits.
