Job summary

LangChain, Inc. is seeking a Director, EMEA Professional Services to lead services and customer engineering across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. This player-coach role centers on shaping EMEA engagement, staffing, delivery, and alignment with global PS leadership. Travel to SF and NY offices is expected as needed.

You will hire and mentor Architects, AI Engineers, and Engagement Managers, coordinate enablement and activation, and ensure a connected post-sale journey with the sales team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in professional services, solutions engineering, customer engineering, or consulting.
• At least 4 of those years were in leadership roles.
• Led a services or post-sales team in EMEA and understands its regulatory landscape.
• Helped sell technical services alongside a software subscription; can scope, price, and defend it.
• Owned resource management and delivery including utilization and delivery quality.
• Led through influence in a matrix organization.
• Credible with engineers and executives on agent architectures and enterprise AI adoption.
• Built programs from scratch in a fast-moving environment and work across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Define EMEA Customer Engineering programs with regional onboarding, activation, enablement, and services offerings.
• Support creation and evolution of pre-sales assets; work with AEs and Solutions Engineers on deal strategy.
• Own staffing, capacity planning, and utilization for the EMEA PS team; ensure delivery follows PS methodology.
• Lead and grow the EMEA team: hire, onboard, coach, and develop Architects, AI Engineers, and Engagement Managers.
• Coordinate across global Customer Engineering in a matrix model; set shared priorities and connected journeys from activation to services to expansion.
• Align with global PS leadership; share playbooks and improvements; contribute to PS operating rhythm and roadmap.
• Run the business: own EMEA PS bookings, utilization, delivery margin, and customer outcomes; report pipeline and risk.
• Stay close to customers: be senior escalation point for strategic EMEA customers.
