Job summary

Fuse Energy seeks an Embedded Software Engineer to design, build and scale the connected hardware behind our distributed energy devices. You will work across embedded systems, networking, device security and fleet connectivity from prototype to deployment.

You’ll collaborate with firmware, hardware and backend teams to deliver production‑ready systems, develop secure provisioning, and maintain resilient telemetry and debugging across the fleet.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain connectivity across Ethernet, Wi‑Fi, Thread, Zigbee and BLE; implement MQTT/CoAP/HTTP/WebSockets messaging.
• Contribute to secure boot, provisioning, and OTA update pipelines with hardware-backed identity.
• Integrate devices with cloud/ backend services; improve telemetry and observability.
• Support testing for safety, EMC, radio, and certification artefacts; collaborate with manufacturing during validation cycles.
• Collaborate across firmware, hardware, power electronics, mechanical and software teams.
