Job summary

AIRBUS Defence and Space Limited in Portsmouth, UK is seeking a Systems Engineer to design and analyse software for complex systems within an Agile environment. You will work closely with Software Development and Test teams, champion modelling processes, and contribute to delivering new solutions in the Satellite Communications domain.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will engage in the modelling lifecycle, conduct retrospective reviews, and push ideas forward.

Qualifications

Experience with SysML-compliant architectural modelling tools (Rhapsody, Cameo, Gaphor or similar)
Knowledge of software solutions within a software product environment
Experience in modelling to capture the system design
Familiarity with Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) diagrams

Responsibilities

Highlight and communicate concerns, results and ideas to team members from a systems design perspective
Work with development team to ascertain feasibility of software components and understand user requirements
Define and contribute to the software system architectural design at a high level using peer review processes
Understand the system aspects of the project and determine the role of software components in the solution
