Job summary

Elastic is seeking an Electronics & Embedded Software Engineer to join its UK Cambridge area R&D team. You will contribute to electronic product design, embedded control systems and motor drive development across the full lifecycle from concept to production.

The role requires strong C/C++ programming, electronics design skills and experience with PCB layout tools. You will work in a multidisciplinary team on innovative projects in a permanent, on-site setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of electronics engineering or embedded systems experience.
• Strong background in electronics design, embedded software, PCB design and motor control.
• Experience with cross-disciplinary teams and product lifecycle from concept to production.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electronic circuits, schematics and PCB layouts.
• Develop, test and maintain embedded software using C/C++.
• Support motor control and drive system development.
• Create BOMs and assist component sourcing and selection.
• Test and fault-find electronics and document design specifications.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software and other engineering teams.
