Job summary

OneandNine Recruitment Ltd is partnering with an innovative engineering and product development organisation in Cambridgeshire to recruit an Electronics and Software Engineer. The role covers the full product lifecycle, from design to validation, with a focus on embedded software and electronics.

You will design schematics and PCB layouts, develop C/C++ software for embedded systems, support new product development, compile BOMs, and contribute to safety and risk assessments.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics, Software Engineering or related discipline.
• At least five years' experience in an engineering role.
• Strong C/C++ and embedded software development experience.

Electronics and Software Engineer - Cambridgeshire - £75,000 + Benefits (Ref 1002)

I am currently recruiting for an Electronics and Software Engineer to join an innovative engineering and product development organisation based in Cambridgeshire.

This Electronics and Software Engineer opportunity offers the chance to work across the full product lifecycle, supporting existing products while contributing to the development of new technologies within a collaborative engineering environment.

The Role

• Design schematics and PCB layouts for electronic products.
• Develop, test and maintain embedded software solutions.
• Support the design and development of new products and systems.
• Produce technical documentation, release information and engineering records.
• Compile bills of materials, support component selection and liaise with internal engineering teams.
• Carry out safety and risk assessments as required.

About You

To be successful as an Electronics and Software Engineer, you will have:

• A degree in Electronics, Software Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• At least five years' experience in a similar engineering role.
• Strong programming experience in C/C++ and embedded systems development.
• PCB design experience using tools such as Altium Designer, Orcad or similar EDA packages.
• Experience of motor drive systems, ideally including brushless DC motors.
• Knowledge of wireless technologies, electronic fault finding and electronic test equipment.
