Elastic Ltd in the Cambridge area is seeking an experienced Electronics & Embedded Software Engineer to join its growing R&D team. You will work on the design, development and improvement of electronic products and embedded control systems across the full product lifecycle.

The role requires hands-on electronics design, embedded software with C/C++, PCB design and motor control experience, plus collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust hardware and software solutions.

Formación

• Minimum 5 years' experience in electronics engineering or embedded systems.
• Degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering or related subject.
• Strong embedded programming experience using C/C++.
• Experience in electronic circuit design, schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Proficiency with PCB design software such as Altium Designer, Cadence or OrCAD.
• Motor drive / motor control experience is essential.
• Experience with BLDC motors would be advantageous.
• Experience developing embedded control systems.
• Knowledge of wireless technologies, including Bluetooth and GNSS.
• Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters and electronic test equipment.

We are recruiting for an experienced Electronics & Embedded Software Engineer to join an innovative engineering and technology business based in the Cambridge area.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing R&D team, working on the design, development and improvement of electronic products and embedded control systems.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electronics design, embedded software development, PCB design and motor control, with the opportunity to work across the full product lifecycle from initial concept through to testing and production.

Key Responsibilities

• Proficiency with PCB design software such as Altium Designer, Cadence or OrCAD.
• Motor drive / motor control experience is essential.
• Experience with brushless DC (BLDC) motors would be highly advantageous.
• Experience developing embedded control systems.
• Knowledge of wireless technologies, including Bluetooth and GNSS.
• Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters and electronic test equipment.
• Strong electronic fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret circuit diagrams, schematics and technical documentation.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
