Job summary

Capgemini Engineering in the United Kingdom is seeking an electronics engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team. You will work on product development from concept to production, delivering innovative electronics and hardware solutions that balance performance with compliance.

You will design PCBAs, integrate embedded firmware, and apply safety standards (IEC 60601, 62368, 61010). Proficiency in Altium Designer and experience with hardware/software integration are essential.

Qualifications

Degree in computer science or electronics engineering.
Experience with detailed compliance activities for safety standards (IEC 60601, IEC 62368, IEC 61010).
Experience in a consulting environment.
Ability to articulate how electronics development impacts project constraints to clients.

Responsibilities

Experience with product development workflows (waterfall, agile) to meet goals.
Design electronics PCBs and hardware (digital, analog, RF, power, motor control).
Oversee the full lifecycle from concept to production and compliance.
Proficiency with Altium Designer.
Design for Test, Manufacture, Assembly, etc.
Risk assessment and de-risking of projects.
Deliver products to market with a product-focused approach.
Integrate hardware and software and ensure compliance with internal processes.
Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team.
