Job summary

Infleqtion UK is expanding its engineering team and recruiting an Embedded DevOps engineer to join our Kidlington, Oxford office and the National Quantum Computing Centre at Harwell. This role blends development and deployment of robust testing and build pipelines for software, firmware and gateware, with some on-site hardware maintenance.

You will develop and maintain CI/CD, automate deployments, and support lab hardware using IaC.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering CI/CD for systems with software and embedded hardware or FPGA gateware.
• Strong Linux systems administration, scripting and automation skills.
• Ability to work with cross-disciplinary teams in lab environments.

Responsibilities

• Software Deployment: Manage containers and orchestrate CI/CD pipelines for efficient software deployment, robust testing and traceable updates.
• Hardware-in-the-loop configuration: Manage configurations of networked systems for development, testing & commissioning.
• Infrastructure as code: Design, develop, and maintain IaC solutions and CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment.
• Software security: Define and own software security procedures for software, firmware and gateware.
• System-down planning: Own lab system management and coordinate recovery plans.
• Collaboration and Documentation: Document processes and configurations across software and hardware teams.
