Job summary

Infleqtion, a global quantum technology company, seeks a talented Systems Engineer to transform hardware prototypes into manufacturable, scalable products at our Kidlington, UK site. You will join a multidisciplinary team of hardware, software engineers and physicists to ensure seamless system integration throughout the product lifecycle.

The role emphasizes leading system-level design, requirements capture, documentation, modelling, and verification.

Qualifications

Masters or PhD in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
10+ years of systems engineering experience in complex, multidisciplinary environments.
Proven experience across the full system lifecycle (requirements to verification).
Experience with product lifecycle processes for R&D in deep tech.
Strong technical documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Lead systems engineering for quantum product development, including system-level design and requirements capture.
Define and maintain documentation such as PRDs, SFRs, and ICDs with full traceability.
Define modelling, simulation, and analytics to support design verification and lifecycle performance.
Coordinate AI&T and V&V planning with a multi-disciplinary team.
Collaborate with physicists and engineers to develop system architectures.
Identify and mitigate technical risks and dependencies; support reliability analysis.
Promote best practices and tools in systems engineering across programmes.
