Job summary

A leading technology recruitment firm is seeking a highly experienced Messaging SME to support Defence Digital at MOD Corsham. The mission-critical role involves delivering secure communications capability within a sensitive defence environment. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in technical project management and a strong understanding of email protocols and secure routing. This hybrid role offers £500 - £575 a day for an initial 6-month contract, outside IR35.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience as a Technical Project Manager within MODICS.
• Deep understanding of email protocols, secure routing, security labelling, and compliance frameworks.
• Strong background in testing and quality assurance for email technologies.
• Proven ability to validate technical designs and assess their operational impact.
• Experience monitoring live service performance and advising on QoS.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical project delivery within MODICS environments.
• Provide expert input on secure email protocols and compliance.
• Validate technical designs and conduct detailed impact assessments.
• Develop and supervise test scripts for secure email systems.
• Monitor Quality of Service (QoS) and recommend improvements.
