Job summary

Ward Security is seeking an experienced Elite Support Officer for a busy retail shopping centre in Gillingham, Kent. You will protect shoppers, staff and assets while delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining a visible security presence.

The role requires a Frontline SIA Licence and CCTV Licence, plus at least one year of experience as a Corporate Security Officer. Weekend days with 07:00-19:00 shifts are typical, with flexibility for additional shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• A valid Frontline SIA Licence and CCTV Licence
• At least one year of proven experience as a Corporate Security Officer
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Exemplary personal presentation and professional demeanour
• Good IT skills and ability to operate security systems
• Strong problem-solving and quick-thinking under pressure

Responsibilities

• Act as a key contact for shoppers, staff and tenants with a professional, approachable manner
• Control access points and patrol the centre to deter threats
• Investigate incidents and take appropriate action per policies
• Complete daily reports and provide surveillance footage when required
• Communicate clearly across face-to-face, reports and radios
• Respond to emergencies using IT systems and equipment
