1st Step is seeking an Electronics Service Engineer in Stoke-on-Trent. The role offers a salary of £35,000 - £40,000 with training, progression, a monthly bonus and overtime in a hands-on workshop environment.

You will fault find and repair electronic equipment, diagnose PCB faults to component level, dismantle and test devices, and read electrical schematics while developing your technical expertise. A varied role with autonomy awaits.

Qualifications

• Experience in fault finding and repairing electronic equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics.
• Background in electronics repair, servicing or fault finding.

Responsibilities

• Fault finding and repairing electronic equipment.
• Diagnose PCB faults down to component level.
• Dismantle, assess, repair and test electronic equipment.
• Read and interpret electronic diagrams and schematics.
• Solder through-hole and surface-mount components.
• Work Monday to Friday in a workshop-based role.
