Job summary

Raytheon UK in Glenrothes is seeking a Production Team Leader to guide a production associates team in building and testing high quality electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies onsite. You will lead cross-functional activities, ensuring output targets while upholding safety standards.

The role involves coordinating shifts, monitoring metrics and driving continuous improvement with engineering, quality, planning and materials teams.

Qualifications

• SVQ Level 4 in Operational Management or equivalent qualification.
• 2+ years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a production team (15+ across multiple shifts) to meet safety, quality, delivery and productivity targets.
• Coordinate daily production activities, chair start-up meetings and ensure smooth shift handovers.
• Monitor production metrics, downtime, WIP, material availability and inventory accuracy.
• Allocate resources and manage workflow to meet fast-paced schedules.
• Drive continuous improvement with Engineering, Quality, Planning and Materials teams.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and quality requirements; promote Health & Safety and 5S.
• Manage team performance, attendance, training, cross-skilling, overtime and timesheet approvals.
