Cure Talent Ltd is seeking an Electronics Engineer to join the production engineering team. You will help keep existing medical devices reliable, available and fit for purpose, with hands-on fault diagnosis and component obsolescence management.
You will update schematics and PCB designs, test changes and lead changes through the engineering change process, collaborating with manufacturing, supply chain and R&D to improve reliability and reduce cost while staying compliant.
Cure Talent is delighted to be partnering with an established medical device manufacturer whose products are used by healthcare professionals worldwide. We're looking for an Electronics Engineer to join its production engineering team, helping keep existing products reliable, available and fit for purpose.
This is a hands-on role within operations, working closely with manufacturing, supply chain and R&D. You'll investigate faults, resolve component obsolescence issues and implement design changes, seeing your work through from identifying the problem to testing and introducing the solution.
There's plenty of variety, from diagnosing a production issue or finding a suitable replacement component to updating a PCB or designing electronics for a test fixture. You'll also support new product introduction and work with R&D on wider platform improvements.
You'll bring practical electronics engineering experience, with a sound understanding of analogue and digital circuits, confidence reading schematics and hands‑on fault‑finding skills. You'll also have experience with PCB design tools such as KiCad, Altium or a comparable package.
Experience of engineering change control within medical devices or another regulated industry is important. Above all, you'll be comfortable investigating problems independently, taking ownership and working with colleagues to get solutions implemented.
Sustaining or product support experience would be useful, although we're also interested in hearing from R&D engineers who are keen to move closer to manufacturing and product lifecycle support.
If you're an Electronics Engineer who enjoys practical problem-solving and wants to see the impact of your work on products used in healthcare, we'd love to hear from you.
