Required Experience & Technical Skills

Candidates should be able to demonstrate experience in several of the following areas:

  • Switched-mode and modern power supply design.
  • High-power RF generation and associated circuitry.
  • Power Factor Correction (PFC) implementation.
  • Design and integration of embedded microcontroller systems.
  • Wired communication interfaces and protocols.
  • Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) design and compliance testing.
  • Development of fault-tolerant and safety-conscious electronic systems.
  • Verification and validation of electronic hardware and embedded firmware.
  • Creation of test equipment, fixtures and development jigs.
  • Collaboration with third-party manufacturing partners, both UK-based and international.
  • PCB assembly, component-level troubleshooting and rework.
  • Schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium Designer (experience with Proteus would be advantageous).
  • Preparation of technical documentation to support IEC 60601 or equivalent compliance standards.
  • Generation of technical reports, test documentation and laboratory records.
Ideal Candidate

You will be a practical, hands-on engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and working across the full product lifecycle. Experience developing high-power electronic systems within a regulated industry would be highly beneficial, alongside a strong understanding of product validation, manufacturing considerations and compliance requirements.
