Job summary

AMETEK is seeking a Test Technician to support the testing, troubleshooting, and validation of electro-mechanical systems at our UK site. You will inspect and test finished products to ensure quality, set up test equipment, and document results in line with quality standards.

You will work with oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and mechanical fixtures while interpreting drawings, schematics, and SOPs to guide testing. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a test technician or similar role.
• Proficiency in using electrical and mechanical test equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics.
• Able to read, write and understand English.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional, environmental, and performance testing on electro-mechanical assemblies and systems.
• Set up and operate test equipment and mechanical fixtures.
• Interpret drawings and procedures to ensure accurate test execution.
• Document results, anomalies, and corrective actions per quality standards.
• Support engineering in prototype testing and validation.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment and ensure safety compliance.
• Participate in continuous improvement and 5S activities.
