Job summary

NP Aerospace, Ltd. in Coventry seeks an Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer to design and integrate vehicle-borne electrical systems for defence applications.

You will work with the Lead Engineer to take designs from concept to detailed engineering, ensuring technical precision and reliability. You will develop electrical harnesses, schematics and wiring diagrams, produce CAD models, BoMs and work instructions, and support integration into existing vehicle architectures while considering cost,

Qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in automotive, aerospace or defence environments.
• Experience in concept development, 3D CAD modelling and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of electrical system design including power distribution and charging.
• Experience producing electrical diagrams and harness drawings.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of engineering projects and product-line requirements with the Lead Engineer.
• Design and prototype vehicle-borne electrical systems and harnesses.
• Produce CAD models, drawings, BoMs and work instructions for modification and manufacture.
• Assist integration of electrical systems into vehicle architectures and perform fault diagnosis.
