Job summary

NP Aerospace is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer in Coventry to design and integrate vehicle-borne electrical and mechanical systems for defence and automotive applications. You’ll take designs from concept through detailed engineering, producing CAD models, schematics and BoMs to support modification, installation and manufacture.

Working with the Lead Engineer and team, you’ll apply practical problem-solving, ensure quality and compliance, and liaise with customers and suppliers.

Qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in automotive, aerospace or defence environments.
• Experience in concept development, detailed design, 3D CAD modelling and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and prototype vehicle-borne electrical systems, harnesses, schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Produce engineering drawings, CAD models and BoMs to support modification and manufacture.
• Assess interfaces, integration with vehicle architectures and fault diagnosis.
• Collaborate with customers and suppliers to meet project milestones and requirements.
