Job summary

NP Aerospace in Coventry is seeking experienced Auto Electrical Technicians to join our vehicle integration team. You will install, modify and test electrical systems on military vehicles, wiring looms, and sub-systems, working from schematics and BOMs.

The role offers a fixed-term contract with benefits, with options for LTD contractor. Applicants should have an HNC or equivalent and strong fault-finding skills, with a proactive, detail‑oriented approach.

Qualifications

• HNC or equivalent in Automotive Electrical Systems installation and repair.
• Experience in low-volume, specialist or complex vehicle manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of OEM automotive electrical systems.
• Experience installing and integrating electrical looms, harnesses and sub-systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and Bills of Materials.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Understanding of electromagnetic interference and its impact on electrical networks.
• Experience with military specification radios would be advantageous.
• A proactive, reliable and team-focused approach.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify and test electrical systems on high-specification military vehicles.
• Install and integrate MOTS/COTS electrical systems, route looms and harnesses, modify sub-systems from schematics and BOMs.
• Support prototype development, fault finding and testing alongside Electrical Design and Engineering teams.
