Job summary
Berneslai Homes in Barnsley is seeking a qualified Electrician to carry out repairs, maintenance and refurbishment work across our housing estates. You will work 37 hours a week in a full-time, permanent role, committed to safety and quality.
The ideal candidate holds NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (City and Guilds) with AM2, understands IET BS7671 wiring regulations, and can interpret drawings, test installations and complete certificates promptly.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation with AM2.
- Knowledge of IET Wiring Regulations (BS7671) 18th/17th edition with upgrade plan within 6 months.
- Experience with electrical installation, fault finding, and refurbishments.
- Ability to work at height.
Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical work on repairs and maintenance and refurbishment projects.
- Interpret detailed electrical drawings and diagrams.
- Test and inspect installations against IET requirements and take remedial action as needed.
- Complete electrical certificates/reports and submit to Client/Agent within deadlines.
- Work on installations including renewable technologies.
- Ensure certificates and paperwork are completed to specification.
