Job summary

Berneslai Homes in Barnsley is seeking a dedicated Electrician who takes pride in delivering high‑quality work and excellent service. The role involves carrying out electrical repairs, installations, and refurbishment projects on our housing stock while ensuring health and safety standards are met.

You should have NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (including AM2), be familiar with IET wiring regulations, and have experience reading drawings and fault finding.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (City and Guilds) including AM2 requirement.
• BS7671:2018 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations or willing to achieve 18th edition within six months.
• Experience with electrical installation, fault finding and proactive repairs on repairs and refurbishment projects.
• Ability to work at height.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all aspects of electrical work on repairs, maintenance and refurbishment projects.
• Carry out electrical repairs and installations to current IET wiring requirements.
• Interpret detailed electrical design drawings and diagrams.
• Test and inspect electrical installations against current IET requirements and take remedial action where required.
• Complete works on a wide range of electrical installations and equipment including renewable technologies.
