Norfolk & Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT) invites applications for an Electrician to join a multidisciplinary maintenance team in Lowestoft. You will perform planned, routine, and reactive maintenance of electrical systems, diagnose faults, and conduct safety inspections in NHS facilities.

Qualifications

  • Qualified electrician with City & Guilds/NVQ and 18th edition BS7671.
  • Includes on-call duties and ability to work across sites.
  • Experience with electrical systems, safety regs, and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide planned, routine and reactive electrical maintenance.
  • Repair and maintain a wide range of electrical services and equipment on site.
  • Fault finding and diagnosis to restore service quickly.
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Work with Building trades and mechanical/electrical services as part of a team.
  • Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota as required.

Job description

Norfolk & Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT) are looking for a skilled Electrician to join our existing multi-disciplinary professional maintenance team in providing a safe environment for all service users, staff and visitors across our Suffolk & Norfolk sites being based in Lowestoft,

  • Providing a comprehensive service to include all aspects of planned, routine and reactive maintenance
  • The repair and maintenance a wide rangeof electrical services and equipment on site
  • Fault finding and diagnosis
  • Routine inspections to ensure our estate is safe and fullycompliant
  • Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with the requirements of Health & Safety and other relevant legislation
  • You will be required to participate as a member of the On-Call Team providing an emergency out of hours service on a rotational basis
    The successful candidate would be flexible, enthusiastic, self-motivated and confident in being part of a team that provides a comprehensive maintenance service in a unique varied environment., Knowledge and experience of standard and specialist aspects of electrical services
  • Understanding and knowledge of the inter-relationship between the building trades and electrical & mechanical services
  • Understanding of Health & Safety Regulations within the Workplace, Two years relevant experience having demonstrated high technical verstility and flexability, Experience of working in a mental health & secure services environment, Recognised & registered EITB minimum 3 year apprenticeship as in Electrical Engineering
  • City & Guilds 236 Parts A & B OR City & Guilds 2330 Electro Technical Technology inc. AM1 & AM2 or equivalent OR NVQ Level 3 in electrical engineering
  • City & Guilds BS7671 - 18th Edition of the I.E.E. Regulations
  • Full UK driving licence for ability to drive Trust vehicles, BTEC ONC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Portable Appliance Test Certificate
  • C&G or equivalent - Unvented Hot Water Storage Systems
