Job summary

MoveATech in Oakham is seeking a permanent Electrician to perform planned and preventive electrical maintenance and fault finding across a secure site. The role includes administrative duties and ensuring safety and compliance in all electrical systems.

The successful candidate will hold City & Guilds 2367/2357 Level 2 Electrical Installation or equivalent, with knowledge of BS7671 and Health & Safety requirements. Weekend rota possible with 15% basic salary allowance.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 2367 or 2357 Level 2 Electrical Installation works or equivalent.
• BS 7671 17th/18th Edition knowledge with willingness to upskill.
• Good Health & Safety knowledge and practices.
• Experience with planned and preventative maintenance operations.
• Excellent organisational and people skills.

Responsibilities

• Planned and preventative electrical maintenance and admin duties.
• Fault finding / problem solving on electrical systems across the site.
• Carry out like-for-like replacements with inspections and tests per BS7671.
• Ensure electrical systems are safe, compliant and functioning effectively.

Job description

Electrician Oakham

We are recruiting for an Electrician on a Permanent basis

The base salary is between £30,866 - £36,135 with the shift uplift it is £35,495- £41,555

As Electrician you will be involved in:

• Planned and preventative electrical maintenance, including administrative duties aligned to the tasks.
• Actively fault finding / problem solving on electrical systems across the prison.
• Carry out like for like replacements and other electrical minor works with the relevant electrical inspections and tests carried out and results recorded in accordance with BS7671.
• Ensuring that all electrical systems are safe, compliant, and functioning effectively helping to create a secure and well-maintained environment for staff and residents.

What you will bring:

• City & Guilds 2367 or 2357 Level 2 Electrical Installation works or equivalent.
• BS#removed#th Edition, however, we will consider 17th Edition with upskilling to 18th Edition.
• Good working knowledge of Health & Safety requirements.
• Good working knowledge of planned and preventative maintenance operations.
• Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.

There may be a need to work some weekends but this would be on a rota basis (and with an additional allowance of 15% of basic salary).
