Job summary

TCS Contracts is seeking a qualified Electrician to join our team for work across secure prison facilities. The role covers installation, maintenance, and repair with strict adherence to safety standards and BS7671 regulations.

We offer consistent Monday–Friday hours, competitive pay, and long-term, stable work. Training and support for prison security clearance are provided where required.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671) knowledge.
• ECS/JIB Card preferred.
• Eligible for prison vetting and enhanced DBS.
• Experience in maintenance and installation work.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, and repair works.
• Fault finding and diagnostics on electrical systems.
• Testing and inspection of electrical installations.
• Ensure all work complies with current regulations (BS7671).
• Complete job documentation and reports.
• Work safely and follow site security procedures.
• Liaise with site management and other trades as needed.

About the Role

• Complete relevant job documentation and reports
• Work safely and follow all site security procedures
• Liaise with site management and other trades when required

Requirements

• Qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
• ECS / JIB Card preferred
• Happy to go through vetting clearance process – Enhanced DBS
• Experience in maintenance and installation work
• Ability to pass enhanced security clearance for prison work
• Good communication and problem‑solving skills
• Full UK driving licence preferred
