Platinum-Recruitment is seeking an Electrician for a prison-based site in Oakham. The role focuses on planned and reactive maintenance of essential electrical systems, ensuring safety and compliance within a secure environment.

You will work to structured hours with progression opportunities and long-term stability. The position offers a salary range of £30,000–£36,000 with weekend rota allowance, plus pension, training, and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in planned and reactive electrical maintenance.
• Strong focus on health & safety in regulated environments.
• City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2+ in Electrical Installation and 18th Edition certified.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs.
• Undertake minor installation works and component replacements.
• Conduct inspections and testing in line with regulations.
• Complete maintenance records and reports accurately.
• Support general maintenance and operational requirements.
• Work within Health & Safety procedures in a secure environment.
