Job summary

Novus Property Solutions is seeking an Electrician to join the Repairs and Voids division. This site-based role covers an area up to 90 minutes from Oxford, with standard hours Monday to Friday (39 hours) and out-of-hours on call.

You’ll carry out fault-finding and repairs in social housing properties, supporting with installations and replacements, and ensuring adherence to safety standards. DBS check and UK driving licence required.

Qualifications

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• AM2
• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation
• Experience in social housing refurbishment
• DBS check and full UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Carrying out fault finding and responsive repairs on tenanted Social Housing properties
• Replace MCBs, rewires, emergency and external lighting, switches, minor installations, shower repairs
• Smoke alarms, extractor fans, testing and inspection, re-certification
• Work from job tickets or handheld device
• Deliver outstanding service in customers' homes
• Follow Health and Safety policies

Job Description

Electrician Job Location: Site based covering up to 90 minutes from Oxford. Standard Hours Monday- Friday 39 hours plus out of hours on call. This is an exciting opportunity for an Electrician to join Novus Property Solutions, Repairs and Voids division, providing high-quality electrical repair and replacement services within Social Housing properties. Responsibilities and Experience - Electrician

• Carrying out fault finding & responsive repairs on tenanted Social Housing properties
• Works include but are not limited to replacing MCB - circuit breakers, rewires, emergency and external lighting, switches, minor installations, shower repairs and replacements, smoke alarms, extractor fans, testing, inspecting and re-certification, certificating all works
• Working from job tickets or a handheld device daily
• Always delivering an outstanding service to customers with the understanding that you are working in their homes
• Following Novus' exemplary Health and Safety policies and standards
• Qualified to 18th edition and AM2, preferably NICEIC registered
• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent) AM2, BS7671:2018 and 2391-52 (or equivalent)
• Experience within social housing refurbishment environment
• Solar PV, EV Charging, battery storage and domestic ventilation and PAS 2030 Retrofit knowledge and qualifications are advantageous
• This role will require a DBS check and a full UK driving license is required
