Job summary

Wagstaff Recruitment is seeking an Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer in Whitchurch, Shropshire. You will maintain and improve site equipment, support production targets, and help your team reduce downtime.

The role offers a Monday–Friday pattern with rotating shifts (5:00am–2:00pm / 2:00pm–12:00am), 42.5 hours per week and opportunities for ongoing technical development within a well‑established manufacturing team.

Qualifications

• Recognised electrical qualification.
• Experience carrying out electrical fault finding.
• Knowledge of 3-phase systems and control panels.
• Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Responding to reactive maintenance breakdowns quickly and effectively.
• Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance activities across site.
• Diagnosing and fault-finding on electrical and electro-mechanical equipment.
• Supporting machinery installations, upgrades and site improvement projects.
• Completing electrical installation work in line with relevant standards and regulations.
• Updating maintenance records through the CMMS.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and sharing technical knowledge with colleagues.
• Following all Health & Safety procedures, including risk assessments and permit-to-work systems where required.

The Role
