Job summary

phs Compliance is hiring an Electrical Test & Inspection Engineer for the Skelmersdale area. You will perform EICRs, emergency lighting and fire alarm inspections, and related testing with uncapped bonus potential and a competitive salary.

The role requires NVQ3/City & Guilds qualifications, UK driving licence, and strong health and safety knowledge. A company vehicle is provided with additional benefits and career progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds 2360/2330 Part 1 & 2, and City & Guilds 18th Edition, AM2 qualifications are required.
• Experience in electrical testing environments is essential.
• Experience with electrical installation or project work.
• Strong understanding of UK Health & Safety regulations.
• Good IT literacy and a valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspection and testing of electrical installations (EICRs).
• Complete Emergency Lighting Testing, Fire Alarm Inspections, Mains Analysis and Thermal Imaging.
• Undertake minor remedial repairs as required.
• Complete reports and certification using cloud-based software.
• Ensure all documentation is submitted accurately and on time.

Role Responsibilities

• Carrying out inspection and testing of electrical installations (EICRs)
• Completing Emergency Lighting Testing, Fire Alarm Inspections, Mains Analysis and Thermal Imaging
• Undertaking minor remedial repairs as required

• Ensuring all documentation is submitted accurately and on time

Ideal Candidate

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds 2360/2330 Part 1 & 2 City & Guilds 18th Edition City & Guilds 2391 / 2394 & 2395 AM2 qualification
• Experience working in an electrical testing environment
• Experience with electrical installation or project work
• Strong understanding of UK Health & Safety regulations
• Good IT literacy
• IPAF 3a & 3b licence
• Full UK Driving Licence (maximum 6 points)
• Desirable: Flexibility to work 40 hours per week including evening/twilight shifts
• Willingness to travel and stay away when required
