Job summary

phs Compliance is seeking an Electrical Test & Inspection Engineer to join our Skelmersdale team. The role involves carrying out EICRs, emergency lighting testing, fire alarm inspections, and reporting using cloud-based software.

A full UK driving licence and IPAF are preferred, with uncapped bonus potential and an attractive benefits package. The ideal candidate will have NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds qualifications, 18th Edition, AM2, and strong health & safety knowledge.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical testing environment required.
• Strong understanding of UK Health & Safety regulations.
• Good IT literacy.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out inspection and testing of electrical installations (EICRs).
• Completing Emergency Lighting Testing, Fire Alarm Inspections, Mains Analysis and Thermal Imaging.
• Undertaking minor remedial repairs as required.
• Completing reports and certification using cloud-based software.
• Ensuring all documentation is submitted accurately and on time.

The Electrical Test & Inspection Engineer role at phs Compliance will involve:

• Carrying out inspection and testing of electrical installations (EICRs)
• Completing Emergency Lighting Testing, Fire Alarm Inspections, Mains Analysis and Thermal Imaging
• Undertaking minor remedial repairs as required
• Completing reports and certification using cloud-based software
• Ensuring all documentation is submitted accurately and on time

The ideal candidate for an Electrical Test & Inspection Engineer at phs Compliance will have:

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds 2360/2330 Part 1 & 2
• City & Guilds 18th Edition
• City & Guilds 2391 / 2394 & 2395
• AM2 qualification
• Experience working in an electrical testing environment
• Experience with electrical installation or project work
• Strong understanding of UK Health & Safety regulations
• Good IT literacy
• IPAF 3a & 3b licence
• Full UK Driving Licence (maximum 6 points)

Desirable:

• Flexibility to work 40 hours per week including evening/twilight shifts
• Willingness to travel and stay away when required
