Job summary

phs Compliance is seeking an Electrical Test & Inspection Engineer in the Colchester Area. You will inspect and test electrical installations (EICRs), perform emergency lighting and fire alarm testing, and prepare reports using cloud-based software.

Ideal candidates hold NVQ3/City & Guilds 2360/2330, 18th Edition, 2391/2394/2395, AM2 and IPAF, plus a full UK driving licence and strong safety awareness. An excellent package includes uncapped bonus potential and generous benefits.

• Strong understanding of UK Health & Safety regulations.
• Good IT literacy.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking minor remedial repairs as required.
• Completing reports and certification using cloud-based software.

The Electrical Test & Inspection Engineer role at phs Compliance will involve:

• Carrying out inspection and testing of electrical installations (EICRs)
• Completing Emergency Lighting Testing, Fire Alarm Inspections, Mains Analysis and Thermal Imaging
• Undertaking minor remedial repairs as required
• Completing reports and certification using cloud-based software
• Ensuring all documentation is submitted accurately and on time

The ideal candidate for an Electrical Test & Inspection Engineer at phs Compliance will have:

• City & Guilds 2391 / 2394 & 2395
• AM2 qualification
• Experience working in an electrical testing environment
• Experience with electrical installation or project work

• IPAF 3a & 3b licence
• Full UK Driving Licence (maximum 6 points)

Desirable:

• Flexibility to work 40 hours per week including evening/twilight shifts

• Willingness to travel and stay away when required
