Job summary

phs Compliance is expanding its team in the Yeovil area. We are seeking an Electrical Test and Inspection Engineer with strong Fixed Wire testing expertise.

You will perform EICRs, emergency lighting checks, and related testing, while handling reports and certification in our cloud-based system. The role offers a competitive base salary (£39,140) with uncapped bonus potential, a company vehicle, 31 days holiday, pension, and wellbeing support, plus ongoing career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 or City & Guilds 2360/2330 part 1 & 2.
• City & Guilds 18th Edition.
• City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395.
• AM2.
• Experience working in an electrical testing environment.
• 40 hours per week, including evening/twilight shifts.
• Full UK Driving Licence, 6 points or less.
• IPAF 3a & 3b licence.
• Good IT literacy.
• Experience with electrical installation/project work.
• Understanding of UK Health and Safety Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspecting and testing on customer electrical installations (EICRs), including Emergency Lighting Testing and Fire Alarm Inspections.
• Complete all reports and certification using cloud-based software.
• Ensure all reports and certifications are submitted on time.

The ideal candidate for a Fixed Wire Testing Engineer atphswill have:

• NVQlevel 3 or City & Guilds 2360/2330 part 1 & 2 qualification
• City & Guilds 18thEdition qualification.
• City & Guilds 2391/2394 & 2395.
• AM2
• Experience working in an electrical testing environment.
• The flexibility to work 40 hours per week, including evening / twilight shifts to support our customers requirements.
• Travelling to sites across ROI and the flexibility to stop over when required.
• A full UK Driving Licence, with 6 points or less.
• IPAF 3a & 3b licence.
• A good level of IT literacy.
• Experience with Electrical installation/project work
• An understandingofUK Health and Safety Regulations within the workplace

Your role as a Fixed Wire Testing Engineer:

• Carrying outInspecting &Testingoncustomerselectricalinstallations (EICRs)includingEmergency Lighting Testing,Fire AlarmInspections, Mains Analysis,Thermal Imaging,and small remedial repairs as required.
• Completing all relevantreports and certificationassociated withyour inspection & testing our cloud-based certification software.
• Ensuring all reports and certification are completed and summited on time.
