Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Technician to support reactive and planned maintenance of building electrical systems across multiple sites in line with procedures and safety standards.

You will perform fault finding, repair of low voltage systems, assist in small works projects, and ensure compliance with BS7671. Training on UPS systems, generators, PASMA/IPAF, and other specialist equipment is provided where required.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or equivalent with practical electrical experience.
• Formal electrical installation qualifications and BS 7671 knowledge.
• NVQ or equivalent in electrical installation/maintenance.
• AM2 and JIB card or equivalent credential.
• UPS/generator operation and maintenance training.
• PASMA/IPAF and working at height awareness.

Responsibilities

• Maintain low voltage electrical distribution, power and lighting systems.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and fault-finding.
• Support small works projects in collaboration with projects team.
• Ensure compliance with BS7671 wiring regulations.
• Assist in hand-over and snagging of new installations.
• Diagnose faults in LV AC/DC control systems and repair.
• Keep test equipment calibrated and up to date with regulations.
• Complete risk assessments for maintenance tasks.
• Liaise with CSC/AFM for reactive and planned tasks.
• Maintain site log books and generate required reports.
• Oversee other personnel, pump up cost awareness and efficiency.
