Job summary

CBRE is seeking an Electrical Technician to perform planned and reactive maintenance on client sites in a professional, safety‑minded manner. The role requires ownership of work areas, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to manage contractors under CBRE UK guidelines.

You will troubleshoot faults, support colleagues, and contribute to continuous improvement while maintaining high service levels and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in electrical discipline.
• BS7671 - 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Demonstrable electrical experience within a building service and/or industrial environment.
• Demonstrable experience of positive customer interactions within a service provider contract.
• Great communication, IT and literacy skills.
• Willing to attain Authorised Person LV within probationary period.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks, providing maximum efficiency, availability and reliability of services and facilities.
• Maintain a safety focused, professional attitude to work, able to work unsupervised and apply technical skills required to meet requirements of the contract.
• Work to defined safe systems of work, policies and procedures and stop work when something is not right, elevate and assist in organising suitable intervention to correct the issue.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and concerns, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with electrical regulations, and safety standards in all work activities.
• Provide technical support and guidance to other maintenance staff or apprentices.
• Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and team members to ensure safe and timely completion of workload.
• Liaise with Helpdesk ensuring urgent maintenance tasks are responded to within contracted timescales.
