Job summary

CBRE Local UK is seeking an Electrical Technician to support reactive and planned maintenance across multiple sites. You will carry out maintenance, fault finding and repairs on LV electrical systems under supervision, ensuring compliance with BS7671 and safety procedures.

You will also contribute to small projects, assist with handovers, and maintain accurate site records while working within a collaborative CBRE team environment.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship or equivalent formal training in electrical installation and maintenance.
• City & Guilds 2382 Level 3 BS 7671 (18th Edition) or equivalent.
• Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installation or Maintenance (e.g. City & Guilds 2357).
• AM2 qualification or higher.
• JIB Skills Card.
• City & Guilds Level 3 certificates in inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations or equivalent.
• Formal training in operation/maintenance of UPS systems and Generators.
• PASMA, IPAF, Manual Handling, Asbestos Awareness, Confined space working, Roof Working.

Responsibilities

• Maintain low voltage electrical distribution and lighting systems, and perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
• Carry out fault finding and repair on LV AC/DC control systems.
• Deliver small works projects with the Projects and Construction team.
• Ensure compliance with BS7671 wiring regulations.
• Assist handover and snagging of new installations for maintainability.
• Produce site reports and maintain log books as required.
• Keep test equipment calibrated and up to date with regulations.
