Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Technician to support the Technical Supervisor across multiple sites in the UK, performing reactive and planned maintenance on LV electrical systems.

You will diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and assist with small works projects ensuring compliance with current regulations. The role requires a formal electrical training background, City & Guilds Level 3 in electrical installations, and a strong commitment to safety and compliant operation.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an apprenticeship or equivalent formal training in electrical installation and maintenance with practical experience.
• Must hold a City and Guilds Level 3 technical certificate in an electrical discipline.
• Must hold City and Guilds 2382 Level 3 BS 7671 or equivalent; exemption possible with qualification within 3 months of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain low voltage distribution, power, and lighting systems and carry out PPM routines.
• Undertake fault finding and repair on LV AC/DC control systems.
• Assist in delivery of small works projects and support handover of new installations.
• Ensure compliance with BS7671 and current regulations; complete risk assessments.
• Liaise with CSC and AFM for planned and reactive tasks; maintain Site Log Books.
• Oversee safety, cost awareness, and timely delivery of tasks within budget and schedule.
