Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the Area Operations Manager and Technical Supervisor, delivering reactive and planned preventative maintenance for building systems, logging status in CMMS, and ensuring compliance with safety regs.

The role covers LV electrical systems, fault finding, small project delivery, and liaison with helpdesk, with qualifications NVQ level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3, and willingness to training.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an apprenticeship or equivalent formal training in electrical installation and maintenance.
• Must hold a City and Guilds Level 3 technical certificate or equivalent in an electrical discipline.
• Must hold a City and Guilds Level 3 certificate in the requirements for electrical installations BS 7671 (18th Edition). If missing, qualification must be obtained within 3 months of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain low voltage (LV) electrical systems and perform PPM routines.
• Repair and maintain electrical equipment and fixtures.
• Deliver small projects and assist with project handovers.
• Ensure compliance with BS7671 wiring regulations.
• Diagnose and repair faults.
• Calibrate risk assessments for maintenance tasks.
• Liaise with helpdesk for task responses.
• Maintain site logbooks, compliance certification, and produce reports.
• Undertake the Control of Works Authorised Person (AP) role and support identification of other relevant APs and CPs in cluster.
• Participate in emergency call-out services and support cost reduction efforts.
• Support team with any other needs as requested by Technical Supervisor and/or AOM.
