Job summary

CBRE is seeking an Electrical Technician to provide reactive and preventive maintenance across client sites in the Newcastle area. You will carry out LV electrical work, fault finding, and ensure compliance with current regulations and safety practices.

Role involves coordinating with supervision and project teams, delivering small works, and maintaining test equipment. Relevant electrical qualifications and CBRE training are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an apprenticeship or equivalent formal training in electrical installation and maintenance.
• Must hold a City and Guilds level 3 technical certificate in an electrical discipline.
• Must hold a City and Guilds 2382 Level 3 certificate in BS 7671 (18th Edition).
• CBRE refresher training in Emergency Circuit Breaker and Fuse Theory; Emergency Lighting Testing; Safe Isolation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain low voltage electrical distribution and lighting systems and undertake PPM routines.
• Maintain equipment and fixtures connected to electrical systems as directed.
• Delivery of small works projects in association with the Projects and Construction team.
• Ensure repairs and installations comply with BS7671 wiring regulations.
• Undertake fault finding and repair on low voltage AC/DC control systems.
• Produce reports and maintain Site Log Books; manage stock levels of spares.
