Job summary

CBRE is seeking an Electrical Technician to support the Technical Supervisor and Area Operations Manager across multiple sites in Kendal, England. The role covers reactive maintenance, planned preventative maintenance, fault finding, and repairs on LV electrical systems in line with procedures and safety standards.

Key duties include ensuring BS7671 compliance, delivering small works with the Projects team, and contributing to handovers and snagging of new installations.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an electrical apprenticeship or equivalent formal training with practical experience.
• City and Guilds Level 3 in electrical installation or maintenance is required.
• City and Guilds 2382 (BS 7671) Level 3 certification or equivalent is essential.
• NVQ3 or equivalent valid qualification is acceptable.
• AM2 or equivalent demonstrates additional competency.

Responsibilities

• Maintain low voltage electrical distribution and lighting systems and perform PPM routines.
• Repair equipment and fixtures connected to electrical systems as directed.
• Deliver small works projects with the Projects and Construction team.
• Ensure compliance with BS7671 wiring regulations in repairs and installs.
• Assist with handover and snagging of new installations for maintainability.
• Undertake fault finding and repair on LV AC/DC control systems.
